Little Notes

Little notes from children are so fun.  Now, my kids are becoming teenagers, so the slobbery love notes are changing... I can't remember the details of this fight, but afterwards, I found this note on my pillow.  It broke my heart.

Well, it's good to repent, ask God for help.  See the GRACE defined post and I will tell you a good story of how God meets us in the details.  It's been several months, and yes, bit by bit, change is still happening... and to my surprise, this note showed up on my pillow.  Wow.

Typically, I will bark out orders or demand results and be stern if I really want something or I have had to ask many times. This time, I thought they needed a break and I helped out with some chores.  It went a long way.  That is new.

As I receive more grace (God's help, unasked for), surely, I am able to extend more grace.  This is a better way to live and I guess I share this to say, miracles can happen!

 Father, thank you for people in our lives to love us unconditionally, and to hold us accountable for our actions.  Help us to live big and not to live small. Thank you for your unending patience, love and compassion.  Thank you for grace to forgive and grace to receive forgiveness. Amen.
