Superior cutting boards

I love cutting boards and I am guessing by the charcuterie explosion in the USA, others do too. One year when I was in France for language school, I experienced a large cutting board and I realized how great these are for all kinds of reasons. I noticed it was pretty standard in a lot of apartments and it made sense for cutting baguettes. Up until that year, I had smaller wooden cutting boards which don’t really do the job—especially annoying is the amount of bread crumbs everywhere. These large ones have moat like indentions for dealing with the crumbs—that blew me away!

There are many things I would recommend for having overseas and a large wooden cutting board would be one of them. If I moved back to Africa, I would have a carpenter make one for me rather than bring one with me. I know anywhere in Europe I could get one this size and now in the USA, you can. I got mine from TJ Maxx. If you are reading this and live in Asian regions or South America/Caribbean, let me know. What is the cutting board scene in your country?

A large cutting board efficiently facilitates the cutting of any size loaf of bread or baguettes. It makes a killer charcuterie board too, so yay for multi purpose kitchen tools! This might be something everyone knows, but I didn’t and I am passing it on to others that might not know!!
